1.
Do I need to sign-up for the entire 10-weeks or can I just come
to some of the classes?
You must commit to the entire 10-week program when you sign-up.
Continuity is important to enhance both the information and
peer support offered by the group experience.
2.
What if I miss one week of the program?
If you are unable to make a session, we will give you written
materials that cover the missed session and, after you have
read them, we will spend some time with you on the phone explaining
the information missed.
3.
Can I participate in the Mind/Body Program while I am going
through medical treatment?
Yes. In fact, the Mind/Body Program can maximize the effectiveness
of medical treatment.
4.
What if I am not pursuing any medical treatment at this time?
You may participate in the program while taking a break from
medical treatment. Also, our program is well-suited for participants
who have chosen to take a more "natural" approach
to resolving their infertility issues.
5.
What is the age range of the women in the group?
All ages are welcome.
6.
How large are the groups?
The average group is between 10-14 participants.
7.
How many sessions do husbands/partners attend?
They will attend 3 out of 10 sessions.
8.
What if my husband/partner cannot participate in the program?
You are encouraged to participate. Partner participation is
helpful but not required.
9.
I already do yoga on a weekly basis, how will this program
be helpful to me?
Yoga is only one component of the Mind/Body
Program. We teach many different methods of relaxation so
you can find the techniques that are most compatible with
you and your lifestyle.
10.
I have tried yoga and I do not like it. Is this an appropriate
group for me?
Definitely! (See answer to #9)
11.
What if I get pregnant during the group?
Many women conceive during the course of our 10-week program.
If you become pregnant, we recommend that you remain in the
group as most women become very anxious about miscarrying.
Pregnant women can benefit considerably from the techniques
and the support offered by the Mind/Body program.
12.
Does insurance pay for this program?
Yes. Many insurance companies will offer partial reimbursement
for this program. We encourage you to talk with your insurance
company representative and read your benefits handbook.
13.
If I have insurance coverage will the Mind/Body Fertility
Center bill my insurance?
No, we do not do direct billing. We will give you a statement for
you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You are
responsible for all payments to the M/BFC.
14.
How do I sign-up for the group?
Everyone must go through an intake interview prior to acceptance
to the group. The intake interview is a one-on-one meeting
with the group leader and an opportunity for the leader to
get to know you and your history and to answer any of your
questions. At the time of the intake you will pay a non-refundable
$200 deposit which goes towards the cost of the group. This
deposit guarantees you a spot in the group.
15.
Where are the sessions held?
Sessions are held in a conference room at a north suburban
hotel that is easily accessible from the major highways.
16.
Do you offer the Mind/Body program in any other locations?
No, not at this time. We will be offering the program in other
Chicagoland areas in the near future.
